Well I've always said I would like to have an "old square Volvo". So now I just bought one from a friend. Probably about my 25th car, but first Volvo. Not my first Swede, as I had a 1990 Saab 900 from '95-2000. This one is an '83 non-turbo 240 DL four door. 4 speed, power windows, A/C, cruise, leather, sunroof. Quite a high spec car for it's day, although the years have taken their toll and this girl is a bit ragged looking. Mechanically it's great. only 136k on it and has recently had a good bit of work done, mainly to get it DEQ ready. Anyway, I live in Portland, OR, so there is NO shortage of Volvo's, enthusiasts and mechanics, so I am in good company. Well, looking forward to getting to know some other car nerds and learning a lot about my new (old) ride! cheers!
