Hey guys I have a 02 V70 2.4 turbo awd just replaced rack and pinion.rack and pinion came with new inner tie rod's when I thread outers on they both bottom out passenger-side is not going far enough it's exactly the same as the rack I pulled out and they were bottomed out to with no adjustment when I take the jam not off the passenger side it's still not going in far enough do I need to modify the inner and outer tie rod ends to get the alignment I need please help thank you

 

Let me guess- cheap aftermarket rack? Sounds like the wrong one.

 

it is I think aftermarket I got it from rock auto it's exactly the same measurements as the factory one I pulled out I just don't understand why there's no more adjustment on the inner tie rod the outer will not thread down far enough only thing I know how to do now is break out the grinder LOL and make it work

 

Ate you sure the one you took out was the original one?
