Welding teeth on flywheel 2004 S80
Thinking my starter motor was worn I replaced with a new one. Once removed I could see that 6 to 8 teeth on the flywheel were badly worn. It is one area of the flywheel and the remaining teeth are in great condition.
My question is whether anyone has tried welding and shaping the worn teeth. It looks accessable with a welding gun and although tricky should be easier than removing the transmission etc.
Anyone tried this ? any success ?
Thank you
