2003 Volvo station wagon. Smells like gas. What is this part that it is leaking from? Leaking while parked darn it. Or do u think that is just a build up spot and I have a leak in my gas tank? Car is currently at mechanics and not driving it.

 

That is your fuel filter, it is probably leaking from the filter itself, or the seal on one of the connections, maybe the (right) side with the schrader valve based on the picture. Fuel Filters are cheap, I think it will be an inexpensive repair for you.
