Xc90 V8 climate control issues
Hello,
I'm new to this forum as well as to my 05 xc90 and I have a question that I'm hoping someone can help me with. I bought my xc90 August of 2015 and the motor started going out in April 2016. I drove the car from April through September(never had any climate control issues). I had the motor replaced by my usual shop but now my climate control unit isn't doing it's job. It powers on and i can control fan speed but it will only blow cold when it's cold outside and hot when it's hot outside. My a/c compressor isn't engaging when I press the a/c button and I never had a problem with it before. The stealor here in Minnesota says that they'll charge me $150.00 to diagnose but after replacing the motor, I have no interest in doing that just to find out the issue. So far, I've tried using a new climate control unit but I had the same issue, the cooling system is well blead so that's not the issue. I tried disconnecting the battery and touching the negative and positive cables but all that did was reset my clock and nothing else. Does anyone have any experience with this issue? I've looked all over the web for answer but haven't seen anything similar. I've owned BMW's with issues that's we're easier to solve but since I've been driving this thing everything is constantly breaking, which sucks because I really like it.
Any help with my issue is well appreciated.
