Default Help the newb!!!

Here's the story. Got a 98 V-70r AWD, Automatic. Almost done my stage zero. Waiting for the weather to warm up to be able to work outside and start my mods. Was wondering what would be the difference between having the ECU re-programmed or installing an electronic boost controller.

The difference is going to be cost...peace of mind...quality... & safety.

MBC: $30+

ECU Upgrade: $200-$1,000+

While a MBC works and many people use them they are not the best option and can be done wrong. Especially if you don't have a real boost gauge hooked up. Peace of mind will come from an ECU upgrade that is quality and well produced.

A MBC while safer then adjusting the wastegate is not as safe as an ECU upgrade.

Go with the ECU upgrade. IPD USA, BSR PPC or RICA. Three best tunes most developed and researched and cost $600+.
