Default K Jetronic control pressure regulator??

Hi! I'm Pat, and no, I don't own a Volvo. But I have a question which is probably best answered by you Volvo guys, so I figured I'd take a chance on your board.

I'd like to know if Volvo used the good old Bosch K-Jetronic (CIS) fuel injection? If so, did their turbo models of the period have this system also?

I ask because I am performing some mods to my 911, which consists of putting in an old kit setup from the early 80's, which consists of a Rajay T04B turbo. There were no provisions for fuel enrichment in this setup. I have heard rumor that Volvo had a similar setup from the factory on their turbo cars, and used a dual daiphragm control pressure regulator which accepted a vacuum and boost signal to enrich the fuel mixture. I am hoping someone here can shed some light on this for me. I could go with a modern rice burner type of microfueler, but I'm trying to think a bit out of the box, and stay somewhat period correct. I will not be running much boost (maybe 0.5 bar upper limit).

Thanks in advance!

Pat

Volvo did have a Cis on Turbo and Non-turbo cars. I believe the Last year for the 240 Turbo was 1982 or 1983.

Thats about all I can help you with though. Those cars were before my time of working on them.
I think in the 6 Years working on them I have only ever worked on 2 of them and it was maintance.

Thank you. It's a place to start. Who deals with the old CIS parts? Is there a Volvo specific place I may be able to call to get the availability of this part, or find out about it? The Bosch website is pretty useless for older stuff.
Thanks again!
Pat
