Default Stock '86 740GLE to 350hp?

So, I have an '86 740GLE with 312,647mi on the original engine and tranny.
I want to go ahead and upgrade now so I don't have to wait for the blown engine.
Looking for suggestions on various rally upgrades, i need shocks, struts, bushings, tires, (maybe wheels, although i like my 15"s) something Powerful, around 350+ is fine, but something I can still drive daily. Yes this will stay my daily driver until I get my 240.

Any and All input is welcome,
what would YOU do with my car?
money is not an issue, just performance and reliability.
have fun, throw me your $0.02

1. Welcome to the forum I see that your new with only two posts.

2. I suggest you take a look at the few PINNED threads I created in the General Volvo section. Typically Asked Questions and also the VolvoForums Resources Thread. These will help you out a lot.

3. As far as suspension goes I would look into http://www.kaplhenke.com/
This guy makes awsome parts.

4. Is your GLE turboed or not? If it isn't your looking at some serious cash and time and effort to turbo the car.

5. If you are turboed your in luck you have more options. I also suggest you become a member of a Volvo forum called TurboBricks, they cater to the older Volvos and would be a world of help to you. However please search and research their forum before aksing a question like you did here, because they will tell you that you need to search.
