Bosch eta
Hi everyone I have 2002 s60 2.0t se with 173000 on the clock I have had no problems with the car for the last four years but the other week my car went into limp mode I scanned it and it said throttle position sensor so I removed the bosch throttle and cleaned it out refitted it re scanned and cleared the fault code took car for a drive and it was brilliant two days after this I went to the car and it went into limp mode again say throttle position sensor I have another bosch eta coming will it need programming or just fitting and testing

Plenty of posts on ETM faults. As you've figured out if the cleaning doesn't work, you will need to replace the the ETM and get it reprogrammed to match your car. Did you check out Xemodex.com for getting your existing ETM repaired and preprogrammed?
Hi thanks for your reply I bought a second hand etm unit with the same serial numbers as mine I cleaned it all out fitted it to my car and it is perfect again no need to programme as my unit was a bosch one all I did after fitting was rescan and no faults found many thanks for your reply
