I have been searching for a 200-220 hp diesel for a boat I am building. 17 foot radius hull, Hamilton jet. I modeled it after thunder jet and custom welds boats. I just recently came across the D5-215 it is the exact torque and hp that I have been looking for. I was wondering if it is possible to make those run in another environment than a car. I know that Penta marine uses Volvo but if you are like me you don't have 20 thousand to throw at a marine engine..... So I must make my own.

Are there some gurus hear that could give some pointers. I haven't found the engine yet and I only discovered that Volvo had what I am looking for but the
d5 5244T11 and T 15 are the best for my application I have seen yet.

I am more into heavy machinery than these little cui engines any traps to be wary of and just thoughts on reliability, upgrades that should be done, how easy are they to remap is there people out there that can delete ALOT of sensors and so on...
