Cleaned up plans today and started comparing car rentals in Miami, FL for the upcoming trip. Looked at a few different vehicle sizes since we’ll have luggage and varying arrival times into MIA, and ran some quick ride estimates just to see how airport transfers stack up against keeping one rental for the whole stay. Still weighing the best mix of convenience and cost, but it feels good to have the options laid out before we book anything.

 

Even though I drive for a living part of the holiday is the car for us. We just got back and can highly recommend a Chevy Suburban if you like a big V8 tank with all the toys like adaptive cruise control and all round cameras for parking. For the passenger and luggage capacity they can’t beaten and in my opinion not that thirsty for what they are, we just did 600miles on $100 of fuel.
