Default Computer Networking Issue

Ok I am going to be moving in an apartment shortly within a month.

I bought a new router and cable modem as I am not taking the one my parents use.

Anyways...

I am going to run my PC wireless ok no problem. My router is wireless and has wired ports on the back.

However my issue is I have a SONY PS3, Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360 and a Toshiba HD-A2 HD DVD player.

1. My Nintendo Wii is run wireless, no problem there.

2. I can run my SONY PS3 wired or wireless. So if I choose wireless no problems.

What I run into is that my Xbox 360 needs a wired option. It has it and I am using it right now. I don't want to go wireless on this it costs too much to do it.

What I am running into is this. Our cable company told us not to run the cable for the TV and the cable for the cable modem from the same wall outlet. I talked to a friend and he said the same thing.

So what it comes down to is either I run wires all through my apartment for various electronics or try to run all wireless which I don't want to do.

I doubt there are two cable hookups in the living room in my apartment. So either I run cables when need be or find another solution some how.

If there is two cable hookups in my apartments living room then there is no problem. Wouldn't be hard to run cables for a short distance and I could put a rug over them to cover them up.

The reason is that the coax cables will most likely interfere with each other. You might try using a higher quality coax cable that has more and better shielding. I just read something about this type of cable inHome Handyman magazine I subscribe to.

Yeah there will be interferance and I doubt using higher grade will do anything to help just because it is the quality of the cable from the outside to the inside that really matters.

I'm thinking that if there is some type of non screw or nailed hook system that I can run the cable through and up the door mouldings and up around the ceilling area so it isn't all over the floor and in the way.

A friend said to see if they might install another outlet.

So I will call tomorrow and ask.

No problem, the cable company can install another outlet in the living room.

This solves my problem.

Glad it was an easy fix. Is there gonna be any room for a table, chairs, couch, bed etc. among all this electronic equipment?

Yes there will be.

I am not bringing a huge entertainment console. It is small, but big enough to hold a 32" HDTV, XBOX 360, SONY PS3, Nintendo Wii, HD DVD player and when it is installed a set top box.

$17.60 was a cheap fix for another cable outlet.
