Last week I went to a seminar that teaches people how to deal with and help troubled kids. Long story short, it seems that I likely grew up with A.D.D.

Then today I was doing some freelance work for a lady and she was kind enough to inform me that I have O.C.D.

Glad I finally found out about my issues at the age of 47 .

 

Better late than Never

 

Meh...we live in an age where no one need take responsibility for their own wrong actions. There is a disorder, disease or external influence that forces us to do anything that may be deemed socially unacceptable. Ain't it great? Even more, it is now completely ok to self-diagnose as well as those around you. Just last week I killed a family of 5 and the last thing the husband said was "you're a homicidal maniac!". Imagine, the nerve of the guy. I explained to him I suffered from any number of undiagnosed and misdiagnosed ailments...it simply was not my fault.

Legal disclaimer: No, I did not kill a family of 5 last week! And...if I did, I have no recollection of the events as you described them. Besides, I was molested as a child...My Mom touched my wee wee when changing my diapers.!

 

Agreed with Swift, we have too many excuses.

Are you overweight? Eat better, maybe park on the other side of the parking lot, and walk all the way..

Although they are some cases were it is a medical problem, i have a friend that no matter how hard he works out, he will barely lose weight so has to take massive pills everyday to stay in a slight overweight shape.
