Talking I want to tinker full time...

Any of you guys know where I can get my hands on about 2.5 million dollars? I initially thought I would need 5 mil but a guy that crunches $$$ numbers said all I would need it about 2.5. If I could get my hands on it real quick I could quit work, take care of my wife and tinker with Volvo's full time. That would include about a week of travel per month.

Any good ideas are welcome. Please don't tell me about anything that would include to much work or ill legal things. It would be hard taking care of my wife from in JAIL!

are you talking about opening up a shop and repairing volvos. or just doing it for fun on the side making extra cash? what do you need to buy that calls for 2.5M?

as for the money. you could take a decent amount and invest... a few good quick money making investments could make or break you. its always a gamble though....

Work hard, study hard, and find ways to save every little bit.

Or sell drugs.

But realistically, loans, saving, etc. 2.5 is a lot to come up with.

Just a word of advice, I've found that human trafficking gives you better returns then running drugs for much less effort.

No formal shop, just tinkering. I could find old Volvo's around and try to fix them and recycle them into the public for fun, no profit needed. If I fix one, hurrah, if not, back to the spare parts pile it goes.

As for the $2,500,000, I can comfortably live off of that amount for 30 years. It's really not that much money. Drawing 5% annually will net me about $10k per month which will do. I know that is less than 1/2 of what Obama says is a comfortable living (250k per year) but I'm a pretty simple guy and would not blow it on stupid stuff, like a 10,000 sf house, a 23 person traveling entourage, 15 new cars, a dinisour head or anything like that.

A guy I know made $187 mil 2 years ago. It sucked that it was all locked up in the financial crissis for about 7 months, but he made it through the temporary freeze. I would be happy with everyone in my state giving me $1, or finding a few old stashed away treasures that some old sap will never be able to go back and get (you know, some old bags of cash that is hidden somewhere - no to old, don't want $$$ that I can't use).

I just want to tinker, help my wife make it through the day and stay out of other people's way.

I'll put the check in the mail on Monday. Just make sure you're outside when you open the envelope. I wouldn't want the check to damage your ceiling when you open it, because it is going to bounce so high you wont be able to see it.

I don't know if this counts, but I've tinkered with Volvos for a long time ...and I'm pretty sure I've made my bosses at least 2.5 mil.

I'll bet they still owe for more stuff than I do, though!
