Hi All

This is just a quick post to anyone who may ever come across an issue with their car not starting. I had a mare trying to find the reason why my 2007 S80 wouldn’t start and the same error messages kept coming back. These were; immobiliser see manual, SRS Airbag service and Brake Failure stop safely. The car would always start fine when cold, but once it had warmed up and I had switched it off, this issue would arise and the car would not start for at least half an hour. Volvo had it in several times and changed the battery, the CEM and the ignition unit at a cost of over £1120! But still this issue kept returning. Well now it seems as though they finally found the issue and it’s been over 3 weeks since I got it back and the problem has gone.
The culprit turned out to be 2 relays costing £17! I’m not sure what relays they changed, but if anyone ever suffers this problem and the big obvious things don’t work, then look at your relays. I hope this may help someone as I nearly scrapped my car out of frustration because of it. Happy motoring one and all.
