Default Question about buying a used factory radio for my 960

I have a 1996 Volvo 960 sedan that has the factory radio with tape player and CD changer..unfortunately, the changer isnt getting power and I have no idea why. It is connected to the radio! I promise! Anyways, I've been trying to find a used factory CD player for a good price, and I found one I can actually afford, but the seller can only provide the VIN# from the car it was pulled from, and not the security code. I've been told that I can get the code from the dealer with just the VIN, but I have 2 questions. Is this something they will charge me for and do any of you out there work at a dealer and be able to get the code for me? I'm on such a tight budget right now, that if I cant get the code for free, I may just not buy the radio. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks!

Default Radio replacement

You might try LKQ.com. I was able to find a replacement radio for my F250 there. It is a parts yard with a huge inventory online.
