radar detector...

They got me like that in SC. I thought I had another 1/4 mile before the trap but I was wrong. I was messing with another car that was all jacked up. He probably had a detector (I didn't have mine at the time). They kinda had me blocked in so I gunned it and once I was ahead of them I hit the brake to slow down because I knew they had a trap ahead. While I was slowing down I seen the cop coming out of the median behind me. It was a center median that totally hid him. I got a ticket for 69 in a 60 but I promise you, he could have written anything! Really cut me a break.

I think all of the 850 and S70 odometers are off by 2 or 3 mph. You can check yours with a GPS unit. If it is off by the normal 2 or 3, you can go to Firestone or somewhere to have them check it for you and print you some kind of proof that it is off. Then you can tell the judge that you knew you were speeding but did not know that you were going that fast. You can say that you were trying to keep it reasonable.

well if this is your first ticket, explain to the judge quote on quote...
"I use the road everyday, never had any problems on this road before, maybe this one time I may or may not been speeding, seein how this is my first offense, I hope that you can pardon me, and I wont let this happen again."
Exactly what I said to the judge and he let me out of my first speedin ticket, its all in how you talk to them. It you got a solid story, they will let you off. if you in school mention that in there, say the name of the school too... Always fight the ticket...

When I got my 1st ticket, the judge simply asked me "how do you plead", I said "guilty" then he asked, "it this your 1st ticket", I said, "Yes sir". Then he said, I'll give you 12 months probation. That was it. I don't think I paid a fine or anything.
I would guess that firestone or someone would charge $35 for a service check or something like that. You can call them, they will let you know.

Well i'm going to be a firefighter but i didn't want to bring that up to the cop, think it would just **** him off more lol..
But this is not my first ticket, it is my first speeding ticket on my record though (went to traffic school for one and cop did not show for the other ticket)..
the fine is not that big of a deal to me, just do not want it on my record =/
