Man I wish I had more money. Went and looked at a '98 S70 T5 today, boy the interior was very clean. Had trip computer, wood highlights, perfect seats, 105,000 miles on it and a few expensive issues. If I had the extra money I would buy and fix it.

- Burnt valve #2.
- Bad alternator.
- Original timing belt.
- Minor body damage on passenger side.
- Bad ABS module.
- Blown motor mounts.

So sad to see a T5 go...

 

Wish we could save them all.

 

I got a 1998 V70 XC last year for $300 needing those things and more. Put another $1500 into it and sold it for $3500. The flip took a little under 6 weeks from when I bought it to when I sold it.

 

Nice. That is a good profit margin. After all that work, I'd like to clear $1,000.
