STOP Texting and Driving
A video that was created in Europe to show the consequences of texting and driving. Everyone should watch it.
Warning: Extremely lifelike and not for the faint at heart.

Thanks for sharing, I agree that everyone should watch it. The film was disturbing but I'd rather be disturbed than be sorry later.
Sadly, they are now everywhere and many people don't understand the danger until it's too late. It's that mentality of "It's not gonna happen to me" deal.
I'm currently stuck in Japan and see a number of pedestrians, bicycle riders, car drivers playing with cell phones while in motion. I don't mean to be sexist, but I see more women playing with cells than men with approximate ratio of 5:1. I once saw a girl missing a step at a train station's stairs and falling down.
They are just as dangerous as drunk drivers.

Worse than drunk drivers...
It is actually worse than driving while drunk (unless you fall asleep). They did a test with people talking on the phone while driving, people eating while driving, drunk drivers, and texting while driving, all done with the same person. The results were that drunk driving was pretty bad with poor reaction times when given signals to do something but the texting was on average 9 times worse response time.
People are crashing every day from texting & driving.

Judging by the accent I would guess maybe India, but funny anyway.

This campaign should especially be brought to colleges and high schools. I'm a student at a small college and have seen my share of close calls in the parking lot due to distracted drivers (almost always from cell phones). This isn't only a concern for those who are driving--pedestrians are also at high risk.
What really makes me upset is that the people who text and drive are the same ones who have already been texting for 10 minutes prior to entering their vehicle. I'm almost beginning to wonder if some people have developed a psychological addiction to texting that interferes with their daily lives--and jeopardizes the lives of others as a result. Something must be done, and I think stronger laws are a good place to start (with both texting and calling).
Parking lots have by far been the most dangerous places from my observations. I think people have a misconception that a slow speed is not going to affect their driving ability if they talk on their phones. However, a parking lot is just as dangerous as an interstate when all is said and done. It doesn't matter if you're going 5mph in a parking lot with people and cars everywhere or 65mph on a turnpike filled with 18-wheelers--there are dangers everywhere and one must be completely focused on the road to avoid them.
