Hey guys, so this guy has a 2005 Volvo S40 T5 with a blown headgasket. I just finished my build on my Camaro and want my next project, but am on the border of weather or not I should buy this car. Is it a good platform to modify? I am told it is making 350awhp already but there's no proof of that so that number means nothing. Again, I just want to know if this car has an engine and Trans that are able to be modified...I'd like to get 450awhp by the end of this summer and obviously things will need to be upgraded, but I need to be sure this is a good car for my goals. Let me know asap guys, could really use the help!

 

I know of an S40 hitting 700hp.

 

Any car can hit that with enough money, my question is, how well do these cars stock components hold up before they need to be replaced? Don't want to go replacing things if there's no need right away you know?
