Guys as much as i like volvo....Hated too see saab go outta business..But what really happened? I know volvo is much larger company,but the dealers in my area did pretty good in selling saabs.It was a shame to see them go..

Agreed. Ugly and quirky. What Saab should have done was stick to building aircraft. Southwest Airlines used to use Saab 340s as their short-hop commuter planes. I have a story about a flight in one of those. Seriously strong aircraft. Hated to see them go.

saab as ugly?? haha no way. I love saab . If they were in good position i would def have considered buying a saab too. I like the saab design esp the 9-5 and 9-3 . The SUV sucked

 

I love my wife's 9-3 se convertible.

We used to have a 1993 Saab 900 (or something along the lines of that, I was little at the time) and we loved it. Pretty nice car. One day my mother was driving it though and the transmission went out of it. It just completely locked up on her. I kinda miss the Saab

 

Yup, im looking at the point of view....that when another company goes out...its bad for the economy...What would GM know about saabs way of doing things...I thought they were built a little diff...but they sure sold alotta them..at one time..
