Default Why Do I Have to Refresh My Screen?

Just recently I find that when I bring up a thread I do not get the latest posts until I hit the refresh button. I have gone to "Tools" and looked through the "Internet Options" but didn't see anything that looks like it will resolve this. Any ideas? I am using IE 8.
