Your Favorite Cars - Pics & Why...

Oh boy...this could change for me on a daily basis...
It's got a different, sleek look and for its time, great performance with its optional 308ci Twin-H straight six and low-slung monocoque (!) chassis. And yes, I liked these before the movie Cars came out.
For those who don't know this car...it's the "Fabulous Hudson Hornet"

My all time favourite car is lamborghini Diablo. The Lamborghini Diablo is a high-performance mid-engined sports car that was built by italian automaker lamborghini between 1990 and 2001. It was the first Lamborghini capable of attaining a top speed in excess of 200 miles per hour (320 km/h). The car's weight was lowered by replacing the power glass side windows with fixed plexiglas (with a small sliding vent window as on many race cars) and removing luxury features such as the air conditioning, stereo, and power steering.

Ok sorry if this offends anyone but does anyone still like old school.
My all time favorite cars are as follow
1979 Volvo 262c
the one in the pict is not mine but its exactly like the one i have. Well minus mine has 75 thousand miles on it original with the 6 cylinder engine still running strong. Would be wrong to put a 4 cylinder in it. why the 262c because I am just old school like that just wish it was manual not automatic but i cant complain its rare.
the lotus esprit v8
dont own one but would love too, because you would stand out in traffic instead looking like all of the other cars today that look alike..... plus its looks REALLY FUN TO DRIVE
Last but not least 1992 volvo 940gl which is my daily driver
this pict is not of mine but its one similar.
If you drive a old car theres nothing else that looks like your car on the road unless its another model of the car you own. Kind of the reason why I drive a volvo...

Well, sorry to King xii but it wouldn't be a MB. They've made some great cars, esp the classic gullwing, but they haven't done it for me in the past 15 yrs.
Great call out on the Lotus. I love the looks of the esprit also, even if it is a basically 40yr old design. But didn't like it when I drove it. Clunky drivetrain and no room in the footwell. Really, the footwell is too small for my 10yr old. Close pedals are good, but this is something else. It is a known problem.
I still love the Ferrari F-40. Beautiful car and great track car. Performance goes without saying. Never driven one, but seeing one close up just took my breath away.
The Jaguar XJ220 was gorgeous. A supercar for the ages.
McClaren F1 would be another one.
The newer stuff is amazing as well obviously, Zonda, etc.. But the more recent designs did take a turn that I just don't find as visually appealing.
The most beautiful and reasonably affordable super sportscar is still the Acura NSX, in my opinion. I owned own of those and it provided a lot of bang for the buck.
For sedans there are a lot of options, but I did love my 04 jaguar xjr. All aluminum and very fast (0-60 in 4.9) while super comfortable and with all the amenities.
However, think I'd choose the Maserati Quattroporte over that. Much more beautiful and just as fast. And better interior.
Money no object my first choice would be Bentley. Every car they put out is just incredible. Beyond Performance, the interiors just embrace you in a way that no other manufacturer emulates. You not only see and feel but "sense" the quality. It is impressive.
And beyond all of that, I discovered some time ago that Volvo has the best seats (comfort wise) ever placed in a car. Volvo truly has a niche as long as they maintain it. They may not do any of the things the car manufacturers referenced above do, but they do provide something you can't get anywhere else.

In the truck category, I loved my 98 Range Rover. The toyota land cruiser was a close second but the rover drove much better. Only had the land cruiser for a year, and it was never as good as the rover. Interesting that I test drove an 04 rover and did not like it, just didn't drive the same as my earlier 98. Always liked the utilitarian ruggedness of the discovery, but it wasn't close to the rover and got rid of it after about a year. After about an hour the disco felt like a jeep wrangler. Six hours in the rover and I wanted to keep driving. I'd be driving a 98 rover now if it had jump seats like the disco. But I am happy with my v70awd.
