Hi, appreciate any help others may have or may have experienced the same issue.

My 2003 4.3GL will fire and run for about 1/2 to one second then dies. I can smell gas so I don't believe its a fuel issue.

I recently had some mechanics fix a wire in the trim switch on the throttle handle, and now the alarm that used to sound when the key was turned just prior to starting, does not sound anymore. It was a loud beep beep, etc.

I'm wondering if that alarm not working could be preventing the motor from starting, as I know that the kill switch with tether attached can also cause issues with starting.

Anyone experienced this problem?
