AD41B high coolant pressure
My AD41B was overheating so I replaced the thermostats and took it for a test drive. Shortly after leaving the marina, the large cooling water pipe came out of the heat exchanger and shot coolant everywhere. Got it back to the dock and did a pressure check on the cooling system. Running at idle, within a minute, the pressure climbs up to 20 PSI. No wonder the pipe blew out. I think I have a blown head gasket.
Does anyone think that the turbocharger could be causing the high coolant pressure problem? I bought a cheap Chinese one and it only has a few hours on it.
I am going to pull the injectors out and do a compression check on each cylinder. I have a spare set of copper injector sleeves so I will pull all of them out as well. Maybe one of them is leaking. Hopefully I can find something wrong and not have to pull the head and change the gasket.
Any suggestions with this would be greatly appreciated!
