Default AQAD41A Very hard to start

Hi All,
I hope some could give me some good advice.
My AQAD41A is very hard to start when cold, and not firing properly at all cylinders until it`s been running for a minute or so, and smoking badly. As long as the engine is warm, it starts right up without giving any smoke, and it is running good all day long. I`ve been replacing fuelinjectors and adjusted the timing according to instruction. Very less to adjust, and did not make any difference at all. Did a compressiontest, a bit out of spec. with readings between 290 and 320 psi. (at cold engine) I`ve mounted a catchcan at the crankcaseventilation to keep an eye if any oil will be collected (not a drop is found after abt. 50 hrs.) I can not feel any pressere in the crankcase (at lub. oil filling), what so ever. Since the lub. oil seems to allso be in very good condition after 50 hrs. I feel there is not any blow by. I understand, nothing will beat at full overhaul, problem is, this will set me back abt. 8000 USD, and I can not afford that right now. I`m considering to do a top-end overhaul, grinding/replacing valves etc. any thought about this? Any advice would be highly appreciated.
Brgds.

Hi, after analyzing your writing, I believe the error can to be two fold. The first thing to check is whether the turbo is leaking or loose in the bearings. If you loosen the exhaust bend you can pull the wings of the turbo around. It should not gap either laterally, vertically or lengthwise. You can also see if there is an oil leak there.

The second is that oil leaks in via the valve when the boat has been standing for a while. When you then start it, the oil burns and black smoke is produced. After the engine warms up, it seals and everything works as it should.
