I have a 1990 200hp with Duo Prop stern drive. Lately when I trim the drive out while underway it slowly returns back in. I have checked oil in drive trim motor and it indicates water in pump which in turn indicates leaking seals. Obviously the trim rams need to be removed and seals replaced. Somebody tells me that the engine must be removed to gain access to the trim rams. Please tell me this is not necessary?? Thanks in anticipation.
