Hello everybody
I just have my prop shaft removed. The U-joint bearing is shut. mechanic told me this part is not servicable and I have to put a new shaft ($1400 CAN, part only).
Does anybody know if I can replace the U-joint bearing?
(Right now the car is FWD)

I did a bit of research but could not find a u-joint on AWD. I would try calling the following vendors:

The repair kit is at $229. You may be able to find a rebuilt prop shaft? Or get an entire prop shaft at a junkyard?

Good luck but you may be stuck with a $1400 bill. I would be interested to see how this works for you. I know Volvo doesn't offer any repair parts for a driveshaft.
