I currently have a Volvo Penta MD11c engine with 120 saildrive. My drive is having issues switching into gear and parts and labors make me question whether I can upgrade it to a newer 130 saildrive model. Would my engine be able to bolt a 130 drive with the current interm coupler I use for the 120? If not what do I need? Has anyone seen or done this before?
I attached a photo of the coupler #69 in the image. This is a diagram of the 120 upper gear unit.
