I built this hood ornament from old tools for my 1993 245. It requires two 5/16" holes through the hood and has foam backing underneath to prevent scratching the hood. My hood springs are strong enough to hold up the hood and the hood ornament (your results may vary depending on your springs). I can't count the number of times people have complimented this hood ornament and taken photos of it at stoplights, in parking lots, etc. It makes your 240 (which is already a head turner) into an even more of a head turner.

I'm only selling it because I've given in to spousal pressure and purchased a boring car, and I'm selling my beloved 245 to a friend who loves the car but doesn't want the attention the hood ornament brings.
