Default Wheel upgrade S60 & 850

Just upgraded wheels on my S60 and my sons 850. Took the 15" Cetus off his car. Put my 16" Mimas on his 850 and put some 17" (Canisto) on my S60. They all had 43mm offsets so it was an easy switch. I personally think both look better with the larger wheels.

Looking good.

Not my taste though. I would have gone with 17" Pegs on the s60.

Well I like the open look of the ones I got, plus it was too good of a deal to pass up. (My wife kinda set a limit on what I could spend before she got out the frying pan[8D]).

P.S.: I got (4) 18x8" Pegs for $450 shipped. All different colors mind you and one had a slight bend. But it would have only cost about $50-$100 to fix the bend and I could have repainted them all for well under $75. And possibly had them painted professionally for under $100.

* Your rims are called, Canistos.

The VolvoForums Resources thread comes in real handy.

Well the 850 is my sons and he likes the rims and I had them already and I didn't want to go to a 17" on his car as he is just learning to drive and my wife would have shot me if I had bought two sets of rims[8D] and I think they look better than the 15" that were on it. But as I said, son likes them and that is the most important part.

Which leads me to wondering why you don't want to buy my 15" Cetus wheels?

Why would you want to see a picture of a frying pan coming at my head. I found a couple of different types of wheel cleaning brushes that help in keeping the wheels clean. Even at that, every once in a while I jack it up and take the wheels off to give them a proper cleaning inside and out. I bought the Advance Auto wheel cleaner and tire cleaner and they are two of the better products I've found to keep the wheels clean.

I don't have money.
I don't want to deal w/ shipping (pay the shipping fees).

If you were local though, I probably would think about it....

Well I don't really want a lot of money for them. I was looking at a set to be shipped from Virginia to Kentucky and it was going to be about $80 to ship four wheels & tires. If you really are interested PM me with an offer and a shipping address. A friend of mine runs a UPS store and I can get a quote from him.

I guess I will think about it.

Rims aren't a giant priority for me right now, but if I get a good price, I guess I could consider it... Ideally, I would rather go local and spend less than 150 bucks, but if I were to offer you that, you'd fall out of your chair in laughter.

Yes many people have put 18's on their Volvo's. On an s90 I don't know.

Also you only need to post your question once in one forum.

I think that's going to be big...

The max for 17s is 225/45/17

Imo, if I were you might might use a 35 profile tire just to make sure it works. Play w/ the tire calculators to see if it would work.
