Hi guys, Im just finishing rebuilding my 244dl 1979 volvo, It has been sitting unused for about 20 years. Alot of work has been going in to this car, mainly mechanical. I just did a complete overhaul serviced all the pumps replaced some of the wiring getting ready to get it started. After this the only thing missing will be cosmetic. The interior is mostly original an in very decent condition, I want to keep it as original as possible. What do you guys think I should expect once I get it running? What is the price for one of these? I will post pictures when I get it done. Where can I get the door panels (the rubber parts on the doors), original '79 wheels?

sadly, you'll probably have more invested into it than what most people would want to pay for it... the area I'm in, there's several late 80's and very early 90's 240s going for less than $1500... even saw a 93 940 turbo wagon at a dealer only going for $1650....

 

Might not get much locally for it, but try posting it on eBay, I saw a '77 in good mechanical condition/ decent cosmetic go for 3000 the other week. There are people out there who go crazy for the older models

I want to get it ready drive it around and see how it feels. My main questions are what can I expect to go bad once I start using it? Where can I buy '79 original volvo wheels?
