1979 Volvo 244dl 2.1 hesitates at accelleration
I just bought a really cool 244dl. It has developed an increasingly disruptive problem on acceleration. It looks like the last owner has replaced the in tank fuel pump, fuel filter, and plug wires. It is a hard hesitation and it seems to only do it under load on acceleration. Any ideas?
Thanks,

LOL! It's KJet...you're going to need to get your knowledge up to speed as it is a rare mechanic indeed tat can truly work on 'em and get them right. After 30 years, many of the components are either not working correctly or are dirty from sitting for extended periods of time and the gasoline turning to varnish. Your fuel distributor, has tolerances within measured in thousandths of an inch. Disassembly isn't terribly difficult but getting them back together is tough. New ones are nearly $1k...if you can find one. The warm up regulator WUR also known as the control pressure valve CPV also has a tendency to fail. Often, judicious quantities of carb cleaner can make improvements. My best advice is to go to KJet.org and start downloading manuals.
