So I was driving my friends 240 wagon and I tried to miss the corner of a pick up trucks back bumper who slammed on their brakes and this is what happend. I might be able to take the panel off and take it somewhere and get it close to how it was before but I guess it would be in my best interest to find a panel. I have searched all over the internet and I cant find anything for it. I could really use some help. Do they even call it a quarter panel? This is really serious because its my friends 240 and he was about to sell it!!! If anyone has access to a replacement part or knows someone who does please help me. This has to be taken care of asap!!! Thanks all!!!

 

there's no such thing as a front quarter panel. its called a fender. the front fenders are bolted on, its the rear ones that are welded to the body that are known as quarter panels.

best place to find a fender would be a junkyard but its quite unlikely to be the right color.

At a decent body shop, that looks like a $1000 scratch to me, with paint. gonna need a new turnsignal too.

 

It may be helpful to list the area the car is located in so that if someone has a spare fender and the inclination that they could help you out.

 

Thanks guys. I have the turn signal covered. The new lens already came in and its just a matter of putting it on and resetting the assembly. We also have a friend that will paint it for free we just have to find the paint. We are located in wilmington, NC. I really appreciate the help because my friend was just about to sell it and then this happend so I am waist deep in you know what!

 

Am I right to think that any sedan or wagon 1979-1985 fender will be the same?
