Default 1986 740 GLE #1 fuse--intermittent power

I'm getting intermittent power to the #1 fuse, so, of course, none is crossing the fuse to energize the fuel pump relay. Has anybody encountered this before, and if so, is there a common problem on these cars? I'm thinking bad (or corroded) contacts on the ignition switch, but I'd love to hear from anybody who has encountered this.

When power does get to the #1 fuse (feed side), the car starts and runs great . . .

Default Fuse

Check all your wiring under neath the fuse box panel beneath fuse #1 first
Check for breaks and oxidation

Change fuse or clean current fuses in holder
If all your other electric stuff is fine when it is fine then more than likely not the ignition switch.
