Does anyone have a scrap engine wiring harness for the 4cyl non-turbo engine? I want to build a new wiring harness (I have more time than money) and I am looking for a scrap harness to use as a template.

 

hi Steve, doing very similiar thing on my 85 245gl that niehbor stuck me with for roofing his house with a swapt motor from a 84 and the 85 harness got wackt up ...done before and not too hard fabricating cable,thought id check in to help myself and you as well.... got only a mitchels wiring diag as yet but 86 and 85 same cable..as per...

I ran across a site that had to fabricate his own hybrid cable and he used a board laid out as he stript it to help with the lengths and notes...hmmmm got in bookmarks..
anyway I couldn't figure out an e-address from pers,but mine is scones7 at yahoo dot com
as i have a scanner might be useful as next step is a bentleys
even the note of scrounging from pull a parts and club members around country might be the best option....allready found a half-dozen mistakes in the Volvo service manuals and mitchels

askt a guy i know who is doing a bunch rewiring of 740s and older if he had any scraps, suposted to get back after he cleans up garage

 

Well I wound up buying a used (updated) wiring harness. I cut open the plastic covering on my old harness and found a mess of totally bare wires embedded in an oily mess of rotten insulation. I can't believe the car actually ran with the wiring harness in that condition.
