Default 1987 240 front control arm rear bushing bucket or bracket

My dealer told me that my 87 240's front control arm rear bucket is worn and distorted so they can't put in a new bushing. They said they contacted Swedish auto parts and were told that the part is not available. Bentleys manual doesn't call the part as a bucket, if I understand correctly, it may be the rear bushing bracket. Where can I get this part or how do all the thousands of 240 enthusiasts fix this problem?

Depending on how bad your bracket is I have read about people spot welding the new bushing into the bracket. This seems like a fairly iffy proposition as you have to be very careful not to overheat the rubber in the new bushing.

I had a bad one and I pulled a replacement from a junkyard and it seems to be doing ok.
