1987 Volvo 240DL Value?
Hello, I'm curious if anyone would have an idea how much this car would sell for?
Runs great, interior could use some help, seats are not torn but plastic is brittle and some has broken off here and there. 56,000 original miles. Thanks in advance!

maybe $2000 if the car is perfect, and you can document that mileage, show all service records, etc. worn out interior will detract from that significantly. the market for 240 sedans isn't very good.
it also varies some with where you are. in the midwest, likely not even that much. in parts of hipster northwest and california coast, maybe a little more.

Are you the seller or the potential buyer? I'd assume seller.
I don't see any interior shots but if this thing has really 56K, and the rest is in line with a Volvo with that low a mileage, it's worth quite a bit! These cars have some serious following and still bring good money if they are low milers. Can these miles be documented? I see low mileage 240s on Ebay for crazy prices, like $10k! Whether they sell or not, who knows... If this really is a low miler, and not one whose odometer broke 20 years ago, I'd put it on Ebay--you may get $5-6k for it!
BTW, the interior cannot be "worn" if the car has 56k original! May be some time damage, sun fade, etc. but not "worn".

Fix the interior bits (and clean it GOOD), check the flame trap, and dig up any and every record you can.
I'd shoot for $3000, but my last two 240s sold for $2500. One was a sedan and the other a wagon.
fyi I've had countless buyers on ebay bid on my parts but never pay-up at the auctions end, dont need want trouble with bigger items.

Thanks guys! I'm the seller, however I may end up keeping her because she runs so well. The interior isn't worn really but the plastic is brittle. The car was in Fla for a number of years and my guess not garaged. Possibly could explain that. I can replace interior parts so I may just do that. On the fence right now about getting rid of a car that could carry me for a long time!
