Default 1987 Volvo 245 Rear Seat Stuck
So i was going to lay down my rear seat to load up some camping gear, and whenever i pulled on the latch (rather hard i might add) *snap* the plastic latch broke in my hand...so i was thinking no big deal, i'll take apart the latch and pull the cables with some pliers and go about my business. But when i got the latch disassembled and was left with just the 2 cables, I can pull and pull on them but nothing seems to be releasing. Is there another way to release the seat so I can fold it down?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

yeah, on each back side latch where the seat locks, with a flat screwdriver pry up the mechanism. one side, push it forward, then the other side.

I assume you're talking about these? I tried prying upward on this part but it didn't seem to budge.

Well, it should move up. Just use the right width screwdriver to pry up. Now, may be it is really rusted in place, it is possible...
