My daughters 1987 Volvo 240 wipers quit working. The motor was working fine, but quite a bit of noise. I ended up taking out the glove box and I found that the piece that fit onto to the passenger side wiper shaft had fallen off and the arm that went to the wiper motor and the arm that went to the drivers side wiper were both lying there. They each have small cables that somehow wrap around the sprockets on the end of the device the fits on the end of passenger side wiper. I am not sure how these cable's fit on to the sprockets or what is the correct orientation of the sprockets. Does anyone have any pictures or can tell me how this is reassembled.

I feel for you. Volvo 240 wipers atleast in my case are some of the most tempurmental, frustrating, and down right annoying. When my motor blew i wound up paying 100$ from autozone for a OEM replacement. After i installed it the wipers were jerky and slower then before. no amount of fiddling has fixed it
