1988 240 air intake hose
I recently replaced the air intake hose that runs from the Mass airflow meter to the intake manifold. In a fit of over-exuberance I didn't check to see where the other ends of the two hoses which attach to the main air intake hose near the manifold are attached. The one that is closer to the front of the car was no problem, the one nearer the firewall is more puzzling. After much searching, I can't seem to see where the other end goes. I have re-attached it to the large air intake hose there does not appear to be a fitting anywhere for the other end
Anyone have an idea?
It cant be very difficult, the hose is only about 8 to 10 inches long, I just cant see where it goes
Thanks,
Peter

Sounds like that's it. The idle control valve is a valve that lets air bypass the throttle body by a computer controlled valve. This way the computer can regulate the idle. One end connects to the air intake hose and makes its way to the control valve (under the intake, but not very hard to get to). Then the other end goes into the backside of the intake manifold.
