1988 240 runs then stalls
an 83-84 should be LH 2.0 (also called LH-II), and probably uses Bosch AMM/MAF 0-280-212-002 ... 85-88 were LH 2.2, and used 0-280-212-007, while 89+ were mostly LH 2.4 with 0-280-212-016 (except a few cars that were LH 3.1 and used a different one from any of hte above)
aftermarket chinese MAF's are pot luck, some might work, but the reliability is rough. Bosch no longer makes any of them, and most of what are 'bosch' are so-called 'remanufacturered' many of which were just cleaned and given a minimal funcitional test by a third party.

Hi, its 2.3 i looked by vin and i replaced aftermarket mass air flow sensor it didnt help, i noticed 2 things when my car cold it won't start and if i disconnect the mass air flow sensor it would start right way as soon as I connect back the MAF wire will die . if you could pls contact me @ 3479330776 thanks
re: 2.3L, yes, you have the original B23F motor, next year was a 'low friction' variant B230F, also 2.3L
