90 240 DL Wagon Starts,Runs,Stalls
Hello Everyone,
Its been a year since my timing belt problem, and everything has been great
till now.
The car will start and run for 15 min or so then stall and will not start up again at least not rite away, give it 30 minutes and it starts, I've cleaned
the air flow sensor, it seemed to help. Any ideas or suggestions would be
appreciated ,
Thanking You in advance, Kathleen (AKA ;Urbanfinch

CPS == crankshaft position sensor. its located on the back of the head, stuck down into a hole on the transmission mounting flange, and reads notches cut into the flywheel/driveplate ... this is used on all LH 2.4 cars (1989+) instead of the hall sensor in the distributor that was used on LH 2.2 (up to 1988).
anyways, the CPS wiring is notorious for deteriorating, and its in a place thats not easily seen or accessed.
here's a bad CPS out of the engine,
and where it fits on the engine (with the engine out of the car as its nearly impossible to see in place)
