It may or may not. Regardless, you need to trouble shoot the problem. Your odometer may simply just be Broken and need replacing, but this is very pricy. Search odometer in these forums, most people (including myself) have a broken gear in the odometer and you can order a new one for about $27, after a few steps, you may be able to get your odometer back up and running. My odometer stopped around 168,000miles, i'm up to almost 300,000!
