I own 1988 Volvo 245DL with AW70 transmission.
I've been using before Mobil 1 ATF Synthetic Fluid.
About to do full transmission flush and add additives.
Can someone suggest specific brands and types please?

 

I've been using Castrol Transmax Import (formerly Multi-Import) ATF, which is specified for late model Toyotas and such. its also widely available.

But, really, any decent brand name Dex/Merc III should be fine. I don't use additives, IMHO, they are snake oil.

I will use additives probably since a lot of other people saying they help to clean. Looking at Lucas transmission additive. If you remember we talked in different thread about my OD transmission problem.

 

ATF's are already full of additives as part of their formula, and are very good at cleaning things.
