Default 1989 740 Turbo help

hey guys I'm new to the forum but I've always been a volvo fan. my first car was a 89 740 and drove it till it had 250,000 miles on it! Now in the present day i was lucky enough to find someone selling a 89 740 turbo in great condition although some minor things like the sun roof doesn't fully open, it gets stuck so i just leave it closed, no AC and blower only works on the top vent by the windshield. I got the car for $600.00 it runs fine, 181,000 miles, leather, nice radio, heat, new tires and paint still shines!
Anyways there is ONE thing that really bothers me and its the fact that the previous owner kept saying that it didn't smoke over and over so i took a better look at a piece on the turbo housing that he pointed out that was being held in with none other than duct tape. . . . . and he said don't move it cause the car works fine... so me being curious i move it.. it smokes a little, i do my research and TADAAA i find out that it is the vacuum line form the waste gate to the turbo housing... now.. the fitting that is going into the housing is a plastic 90 degree and i know that it should be brass and threaded into the turbo.. i pulled it out like i said and my turbo doesn't have threads in it.

SO do you guys have any idea on how i could close the hole and put the vacuum line on the hose with a quick connect fitting OR maybe someone on here has experienced the same and found a smarter solution other than taking the turbo apart and threading it.

the picture is the fitting out of the turbo housing, as you can see there are no threads 1989 740 Turbo help-img_0524.jpg

hmmm. drawing from VADIS attached. I assume this is the vacuum like '7', which fits onto the little elbow nipple shown coming out of air housing '6' and held on by lamp 7a...

that drawing was the mitsubishi turbo, the garret turbo is fairly different, I couldn't tell from your picture which one you had. attached find garrett drawing. elbow piece looks to be threaded into the housing, but hard to say.

Any step by step guidance on how to take the turbo off to I can clean it up, make sure everything is good and thread it for the new nipple going in? Draining it and where to start? I have the hoses off from the intercooler and intake, just need to know a little more about Coolant and oil line
