I have a 1989 760 T with damaged rear totaled and a 1988 740GLE. Is it possible to install the entire rear suspension and fuel tank from 760 to replace the rear suspension in the 1988 GLE. Thank You for your help.

 

anything is *possible* but the amount of work involved? hard to say... if you have both of these, go ahead and compare the way the suspension components are mounted to the body. I bet there's significant differences.

 

The differences are too much trouble for me. I have obtained a replacement from a 1989
740. the next problem is to move the park brake cable to the replacement rear end.
