Default 1989 Volvo 740 Gl Burning smell,

Hey everyone, I have a 1989 Volvo 740 Gl non turbo with 155,XXX km on it.I am burning a noticeable amount of oil (exhaust smell and cabin air smell) with visible white smoke. No visible leaks, recent oil change, new plugs, ignition coil wire and ignition wires. Hard starting in the winter, mechanic said it was flooded when in brought it in last week and the plugs which had been replaced a month earlier were covered in carbon. Replaced the plugs, oil and distributor cap/rotor as it was corroded down, today I am still having problems with burning oil smell. only a small pan leak was noted with no big leaks. Hoses are free from cracks. Timing belt was done last winter as well, new crank shaft position sensor and fuel relay as well, everything else is practically stock engine-wise. This problem started recently since it got cold, PCV is looked at every oil change. Im thinking I may have a blown head gasket as i noticed a small amount of coolant looking fluid leaking from the respective position on the engine after cold starting problems or possibly an o2 sensor. just looking for a second opinion is possible. Thanks all.

Take a compression test first... may have a blown HG.

o2 sensor ONLY affects smog, nothing else.
