Default 1992 740 turbo stops starting!

This is very frustrating. It runs great until it decides to not start. If I let it sit for a week or two it starts up just fine and runs for , sometimes months. Then for no apparent reason it will not start.
If I hit it with starting fluid it turns over but will not run, so I assume it is not getting fuel. I was told the if it was the fuel pump it would not start sometimes.
Just had a tune-up done.
Any help is appreciated. I love this car and it only has 190K miles on it!

next time it won't start, find the 'shraeder valve' on the fuel rail (looks like a tire valve), and use a small tool to depress the valve core while holding a paper towell over it. you should get a 'spritz' of fuel. if you don't, you got no fuel pressure, leading me to suspect your fuel pump relay and/or primary fuel pump.

if you DO get a spritz of fuel, then I'd suspect the 'radio supression relay' whihc is on the left fender forward of the wheel hump, and near the ABS modulator. this relay provides the power for the fuel injectors.
