1992 740 (Wagon) turbo issues
ok here is what is happening. i bought the car after the guy let it sit about a year. i got the Cat cleaned out and got all new turbo pipes. mechanic says turbo is fine but im not sure. when im driving sometimes if i dont let the car warm up for a while before i drive it, it acts funny. it goes through first fine (auto) BUT when it gets to 2,500 RPM's the turbo goes up and RPMs go down. is this a turbo or exhaust problem? or am i crazy? if i pull the car over, turn it off sit for 10 seconds start car, it goes away. AND my turbo makes a weird noise that sounds like its rubbing or something. do all volvos sound like a far away diesel? i love my car and want to keep it. RWD wagons are AWESOME!
should i replace turbo? PLEASE HELP!
